About the job: Business Development Manager
Our client is looking for a Business Development Manager to head up the sales team, working alongside two other members. You will be responsible for managing your own workload and reporting back to the Managing Director.
The successful candidate must have a good knowledge of the local area and will have worked for a contractor before in a similar role, with contacts to architects, cost consultants, local authorities, etc.
Most of your time will be spent meeting new and existing clients, networking with at least one day per week office-based.
Responsibilities:
* Head up new build and refurbishment business growth across the Midlands in a range of sectors including Education, Care, Commercial, and Conversions (not limited to).
* Generate new contacts and tender opportunities for the estimating team.
* Attend networking events.
* Maintain a full UK driving license.
* Exhibit good interpersonal skills to engage with clients.
* Be a confident speaker.
* Possess a solid understanding of construction and the industry.
Salary: £45-60k dependent on experience plus car allowance to be confirmed.
