Historic England has a fantastic opportunity for you to join us as our National Programme Officer.
This is a Part Time (18 hours a week), Fixed-Term Contract until 31st March 2026.
The location of this role is National where we offer hybrid working, you will be based in one of our following offices and from home - Newcastle, York, Manchester, Birmingham, Swindon, Bristol, Portsmouth (Fort Cumberland), and Cambridge.

What You Will Be Doing
As our National Programme Officer, you will work with the National Programme Manager to provide a central Programme Management Office (PMO) function to enable delivery of the Heritage at Risk Capital Fund. Working in close collaboration with colleagues across the organisation, the role will lead a team providing central PMO in compliance with Government Functional Standard GovS002 Project Delivery.
The role sits within Business Improvement Group, a dynamic part of Historic England committed to enabling innovative delivery, developing HE as an organisation, and focusing its performance.
