IT Support Engineer
Location: Gateshead
Are you an experienced IT Support Engineer with a passion for hardware? We are seeking a talented individual to provide exceptional technical support to our expanding customer base as part of an exciting new business venture.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide technical expertise and resolve hardware-related issues up to a second line level.
* Deliver onsite technical support, effectively communicating with internal and external stakeholders.
* Assist with hardware-focused project work, including server and network installation and configuration.
* Maintain high standards of documentation and create training materials for first line support.
* Document escalated hardware issues to ensure they are not repeated.
* Provide regular feedback to drive technical and process improvements.
Required Skills & Experience:
* Extensive experience with end user device hardware and printer support.
* Proficiency in Azure, Active Directory, and Microsoft Office 365 Administration.
* Experience with Windows Server 2016-2022 and Microsoft SQL Server Administration.
* Knowledge of SharePoint Administration, Anti-Virus management, and vulnerability resolution.
* Expertise in backup and recovery, including DRaaS, EDR, and MDR.
* Strong understanding of networking, Network Access Control, and digital telephony (VoIP, SIP trunks).
* Significant experience with Microsoft Windows 10 and 11.
* Familiarity with Microsoft Office Applications 2016 and 2019.
* Remote software deployment skills.
* Understanding of firewalls and networks, with Ubiquity experience being advantageous.
* Prior experience in a fast-paced environment in a similar role.
* Excellent communication and documentation skills.
* Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
* Strong decision-making skills and sound judgment.
* Fault finding and troubleshooting skills.
* ITIL awareness and understanding of best practices around security.
* Microsoft certification is advantageous.
