What you will need:
1. A minimum of Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education
2. Proven experience in working within the Early Years sector
3. Demonstrate leadership knowledge/experience
4. Extensive knowledge around Safeguarding, the EYFS and the Early Years Inspection Framework
5. Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) with all: children, staff, parents, and external agencies
Job Description:
1. Place children’s needs at the heart of your practice
2. Act professionally and appear as a role model for your staff - motivated and responsible leader aiming to achieve the best in staff and children
3. Deliver quality care and education for the children while also supervising your team and ensuring that your room operates effectively in accordance with the policies and procedures of the setting
4. Hold innovative approaches and identify areas for improvement related to teaching and learning techniques or provide a stimulating learning environment for the children
5. Promote an inclusive environment where all children and staff feel valued, ensuring that children’s individual and educational needs within the room are met effectively
6. Ensure that all record-keeping requirements are regularly completed, as well as conducting peer observations on your staff
7. Work closely with the management team and receive the required support
8. As a Lead Practitioner, you will be required to work in partnership with other Room Leaders to ensure the successful running of the nursery
9. Able to work under pressure in a busy room with children aged between 2-3 years old
