A Local Authority in London is looking to recruit a Senior Finance Officer on a Permanent Basis.

* Hybrid Working (couple of times a month in the office)
What does this role entail? Here is a very brief snapshot:
* Report to the VAT Accountant and support on a range of areas within the Corporate Accountancy team
* Completion of the monthly CIS Returns and VAT claims
* Liaising with HMRC and addressing any VAT-related queries
* Monitoring and reporting on financial controls
* Support on completion of the annual Statement of Accounts and associated processes
* Completion of government and other statutory returns
* Balance sheet and other reconciliations
* Liaising with and providing information to internal and external audit as required
What are the essentials for this role?
* Any local government Corporate Accountancy experience is highly welcomed
* Excellent communication skills and an exceptional knowledge of Microsoft Excel and data analysis
* You need to be working within a finance team related role in a local authority or wider public sector or not-for-profit organisation environment as part of a Financial Accounting Team
