About the Role:
As Attractions Manager at Clacton Pier, you will take overall responsibility for the day-to-day running of all attraction and outlet elements of the pier, ensuring a seamless operation across multiple departments. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will coach and develop departmental managers, drive high standards of customer service, and ensure the smooth and efficient management of the site. You will be a boots on the ground manager, prepared to lead by example and be actively involved in all departments. Being prepared to get stuck in is essential, you will need to be quick on your feet to resolve problems and support a busy operation at Europe’s Largest Pleasure Pier!
Your Responsibilities:
1. Leadership and People Management: Lead, support, and develop departmental managers, fostering a culture of teamwork and accountability.
2. Operational Oversight: Take responsibility for the day-to-day operation of all aspects of the pier, ensuring everything runs smoothly and efficiently and according to budget.
3. Guest Experience: Maintain exceptional guest satisfaction by ensuring high service standards and swift resolution of any issues.
4. Staff Development: Provide hands-on coaching and development to departmental managers and team members to enhance performance and engagement.
5. Compliance and Safety: Ensure all health and safety regulations, company policies, and procedures are adhered to at all times.
6. Problem-Solving: Quickly and effectively respond to operational challenges, ensuring minimal disruption to the guest experience.
7. Collaboration: Work closely with the senior management team to continuously improve operations and drive business success.
Requirements:
1. Experience: Previous experience in a senior operational or management role, preferably within a leisure, hospitality, or visitor attraction environment.
2. Leadership: Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to develop and inspire a team.
3. Hands-On Approach: A proactive, problem-solving mindset with a willingness to be actively involved in daily operations.
4. Customer Focus: A passion for delivering outstanding customer service and enhancing visitor experiences.
5. Decision-Making: Ability to make quick and effective decisions in a fast-paced environment.
6. Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate staff.

Schedule:
This position requires flexibility, including regular weekends, bank holidays, and some evenings, to support pier operations.
