Working as a key part of the critical path; creating new and innovative designs across Womens Dresses - casual and formal ranges (wovens and jersey base). We are looking for an experienced Designer who thrives in a fast paced environment. Looking to elevate and push designs for womenswear, you will have a strong understanding of trends and factories. Knowledge of where we source different fabrications would be desirable. The role Researching the latest trends relevant to various customer profiles, then communicating this information to your team and senior managers is a key part of this role. We would ask you to produce trend led, elevated designs that tastefully represent and reflect the customer brief, always looking to push this further. Day to day, this could be working with internal teams in Next - working on briefs and building those all important relationships. Travelling to factories to see product on the line and visiting inspirational destinations for shopping trips. Building relationships with the territories is paramount with this role, as well as being confident in your designs and vision. Always looking at new trends and translating this to new designs for Next This fast paced role is perfect for someone who has worked within a similar role previously. About you We would love you to have previous experience with a selection of countries from a supplier base. A great taste level and a real passion for the latest trends and how to translate these in a tasteful way to your designs, whilst having an enthusiastic attitude and team a player. A high level of experience and be proficient in creating designs and tech packs using Adobe creative suite-from initial trend concepts to final tech packs would be necessary for this role. Confident communication skills and the ability to manage an Assistant Designer. Experience working across Womenswear is essential to this position.
