On Site Water Treatment Specialist
Salary plus bonus
Company car with fuel card
This is an on-site Chemical Analyst role that calls for a mixture of Analysis and Servicing
The role is all about testing, maintaining, servicing and fixing our water treatment equipment on site at our client site near Heathrow. In addition to this, the role entails responsibility covering managing chemical deliveries to managed chemical tanks, maintaining stock levels, organising & planning works, liaising with sub-contractors as well as discussing all of our activities and more at regular review meetings with the customer.
Previous experience in UK Water Treatment is essential, covering Cooling Towers & Legionella management and Closed System Treatment. An ideal candidate would also have experience with Chlorine Dioxide units, Domestic Legionella control, Steam Boilers, and any other relevant experience. Due to the location of the role, you will be required to undergo a full DBS and will need to have lived in the UK continuously for the past 5 years, unless you have been servicing overseas with UK Forces.
What will your day-to-day look like?
1. Completing water sampling and documenting findings
2. Calibration of equipment and generating calibration certificates as required
3. Specialised maintenance of technology & equipment.
4. Operation of dosing pumps – changing dosing rates as required and diagnosing issues
5. Diagnosing warning/error messages on control equipment and rectifying issues
6. Communicating basic technical concepts to the customer and finding solutions
7. Competently carrying out LCA audit checklist on EVS suppliers
8. Using the Gensuite system to manage QEHS documentation
9. Planning compliance calendar tasks and inspection tool audits
10. Getting familiar with the commercial agreement and ensuring this is followed; making sure the team are made aware of any customer requested scope change
11. Identifying opportunities for upgrades, whether chemical dosing equipment, training, analytical services or increased scope of supply.
12. Assisting with project execution as required, from surveying to completion.
13. Participating and engaging in review meetings with customers
14. Compiling Operations Manuals for customer
15. Managing Chemical & Salt Deliveries to customer plant
16. Overseeing scheduled works and ensuring that multiple Operatives working on the account are in sync and the contract scope is fully executed.
Please note some special points for this role:
You must hold a valid UK driving licence. We will only consider applications from those eligible to work in the UK. The successful applicant will pass a DBS check. You must have lived in the UK for the past 5 years to be able to pass site security checks (unless you have been servicing overseas with the UK Forces).

Qualifications
Previous Experience / Required Skills:
37. Chemistry/Chemical Engineering degree or equivalent scientific degree qualification.
38. Solid experience of working within the UK Water Treatment Industry
39. Experience working with Cooling Towers, Closed Systems, Legionella.
