About the role
We are looking for a Specialist Oncology Physiotherapist to join our small specialist team at The Christie Private Care (TCPC). This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive and enthusiastic individual to join our innovative and expanding oncology AHP team. We are seeking an experienced oncology physiotherapist, with a clear commitment and interest in oncology conditions and cancer rehabilitation.
The role will involve working independently as an autonomous practitioner, delivering high quality physiotherapy assessment and treatment to support patients at every stage of their cancer journey. The successful candidate will contribute to the provision of expert clinical practice with advanced clinical reasoning. The role will involve seeing private in-patients and out-patients patients across a variety of settings at TCPC. The successful candidate will be experienced and confident working across fast-paced, dynamic, acute clinical environments.
The role will involve the development of others including colleagues, students and other healthcare professionals. The successful candidate will contribute to the evaluation and development of clinical practice and service expansion alongside the physiotherapy lead. What you'll bring:
* HCPC Registration
* Physiotherapy degree qualification or equivalent
* The ability to demonstrate commitment to Continuous Professional Development
* Post registration specialist clinical experience working in Oncology and/or Haematology
* Post registration clinical experience across a wide range of core physiotherapy areas- surgical care, respiratory, acute medicine, neurology, musculoskeletal, rehabilitation
* Experience working across different clinical settings
* Excellent time management skills with the ability to manage a demanding workload and prioritise effectively
* Understanding of oncology conditions, treatments and pathways
* Advanced communication skills
* A passion and interest in cancer care
