Trauma Resus was founded in 2005 by healthcare professionals, who recognised the need for non-healthcare professionals to be able to provide lifesaving assistance in advance of the emergency services. In addition to its European operation, Trauma Resus is also incorporated in the USA, where it is headquartered in New York.
While basic first aid has a role to play, many organisations find themselves in a scenario where help is not readily available, and they need to be more self-sufficient during a medical emergency. This is where advanced first aid comes in, and Trauma Resus specialises in empowering organisations to implement an emergency response that fits their risk profile. With one overarching aim Trauma Resus wants to “improve casualty care, improve casualty outcomes and ultimately save lives.”
The post holder will deliver a variety of training courses provided by Trauma & Resuscitation Services (Trauma Resus) across the UK and Europe. The ideal candidate will be passionate about first aid, able to engage and motivate learners and committed to maintaining high standards of training delivery. This role involves some physical demands including the transportation and movement of training equipment and personally demonstrating first aid techniques. There may be, at times, a requirement to work flexible hours including some evenings and weekends. Overnight stays will also be necessary for multi-day courses or distant locations.
