At Honda we embrace inclusion in our various policies, so whilst our contracts state that the hours are as required to fulfil the role with a minimum of 35 hours per week, we offer flexibility for when you work. The regular office hours are 08:00 – 16:00 Monday to Thursday with a half hour lunch break & 08:00 – 13:00 on a Friday. However, we offer flexibility of when you work with our daily flex-time start of between 07:00 and 11:00 providing that there is no business requirement.
Whilst there is no contractual right to work from home, the flexibility we offer is that you can request to work from home for a maximum of 50% of the working days in any one month, again providing there is no business requirement to attend the office.
Role:
Reporting to and working closely with the Operations Director this demanding role provides full and proactive executive support to the Honda Finance Europe (HFE) Senior Management Team. This role will primarily be responsible for the planning, organising and documenting the preparation and outcome of governance meetings and committees ensuring outputs meet all regulatory objectives and expectations.
The role will also be responsible for the planning and organising of any events held to support the achievement of business objectives.
Main Responsibilities:
* To document a clear governance structure on HFE BoD and throughout HFE Committees that provides records and evidence to support regulatory requirements.
* Develop & update terms of reference & operating procedures for all HFE committees.
* Preparation of Board and Committee meeting packs and management of actions.
* Provide meeting support to chair to include developing agendas, collating papers and circulating minutes.
* Coordinate management input on discussion papers and seek input from external stakeholders as required.
* Implement resolutions, directives or actions as required and prepare communications for committee members and stakeholders throughout the wider Honda business.
* Establish and maintain document management systems to evidence regulatory compliance at an Executive level within the organisation.
* Report regularly to the HFE Senior Management Team on the activities completed and any up-and-coming activities whilst also building and maintaining effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
* Oversee, planning co-ordinating and organising of any meetings, workshops and events held to support the achievement of business objectives.
* Management & delivery of HFE’s SharePoint site and support all Department sites from a governance and consistency perspective.
* Make travel and accommodation arrangements in a timely and accurate manner.
Governance and Regulatory Responsibilities:
* Working closely with HFE Compliance ensuring all governance activities comply with regulatory standards as expected by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA).
* Monitor and interpret regulatory changes alongside HFE Compliance and suggest and implement necessary adjustments to governance processes.
* Ensure that all committee outputs align with FCA regulatory requirements and organisational standards.
* Lead initiatives to enhance the organisation’s governance framework, ensuring it meets evolving regulatory expectations.
Qualifications, skills and experience:
Required
* Ambitious with a drive to continual achievements of targets. The successful candidate will also be determined, resilient and strongly self-motivated whilst possessing well developed interpersonal skills.
* Experience of collaborating with Senior Managers to achieve set objectives.
* Capability to challenge and negotiate at senior Management level through excellent communication skills.
* Relevant experience in similar role.
* Strong proven administrative and organisational skills with a desire to hit deadlines.
* Demonstrate experience of integrity when handling privileged & confidential information.
* Self-starter able to work independently and contribute to a team.
* Excellent PC skills – Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
* A good understanding of the captive automotive finance industry would be a considerable advantage.
* Understanding of current regulatory legislation and how it influences and affects FCA regulated entities.
* SharePoint Skills.
