Personal Assistant required to care for elderly female in her own home. The position is a part time, permanent carer position. Female applicants only due to personal care aspects of the role.
The PA MUST have dementia experience and have worked in clients homes as part of their previous experience. Qualifications preferred, but not essential.
The PA must be reliable, trustworthy, honest, compassionate and flexible. The hours are between 7 and 8.5 hours per week, but more hours will be needed at times to cover other PAs holidays. The PA will work in a small team of carers so must be a good communicator and be prepared to be part of a team that helps each other out as required.
The shifts are set in a 4 week rolling rota. The PA will be required to work one full day every week which consists of 3 weekends on either Saturdays OR Sundays out of every 4 weeks and 1 weekday in every 4 weeks when the work day will be a Thursday. There is also a late shift available every Monday evening.
A full day each week consists of 3 shifts : 9am - 12.30pm, 3.30 - 5.30pm and
8 - 9.30pm.
The PA is required to assist with personal care, medication, cooking, cleaning and social aspects too. Must like dogs as the client has a small dog that the PA must walk & feed as part of the role.
This position is pay rolled with paid leave included. The rate of pay is £15 per hour.
PVG is required and also references will be taken.
