Description
What we do is simple – we send people on holiday, and who doesn’t love that? But we couldn’t do it without our homeowners, the people who provide the setting for your perfect getaway. This role would see you working with a team finding the next homeowners to join the Awaze brand in the UK.
About Awaze
We are Europe’s largest manager of holiday rental properties, with 110,000 units under management in over 600 destinations in 25 countries across the continent. Our purpose is simple – to delight owners and guests. The business operates more than 25 consumer brands including Cottages.com, Novasol and Hoseasons.
The Role
Due to the requirement to travel to our properties in the area, candidates are required to be based around Carlisle, Penrith or Keswick. A full, clean driving license is also required.
This role is for ambitious, target driven and commercially aware individuals who have a passion for our product. You will personally support the delivery of the Awaze growth plans through the recruitment of new houses in line with the targets set, monthly, quarterly, and annually. You will be an advocate and ambassador for all things Awaze and passionately sell the business and its portfolio of brands to prospective new owners and third parties. You will also be an ambassador for the company within the UK holiday sector, sourcing, building and maintaining strong strategic relationships with house owners and third party suppliers.
What you’ll be doing
You’ll have responsibility for adding to our extensive portfolio working across a wide spectrum of owners from small landowners to high level corporates and private equity firms. It’s key that you can build a strong relationship based on trust and honesty, so that you can provide an excellent service. You’ll need to be professional within your approach and comfortable in arranging site visits to encourage new house owners to join our journey.
Key skills we need:
You’ll be joining a genuinely passionate and ambitious team, with a real desire to be the best at what they do. Our house owners are incredibly important to us, and you’ll be in the spotlight when it comes to making sure we have the right number of units to sell. Things that would make you a success in this role include:
1. Your communication skills are second to none
2. You pride yourself on your ability to build rapport
3. We’re looking for someone who is never satisfied – you’re always looking for ways to find the next uncovered gem.
4. You believe that knowledge is power, so you’re constantly on the lookout for the next industry event to attend, or you’re looking at what our competitors are doing
5. You’re comfortable working with analytical tools
6. You’re driven by targets
7. You’ve got excellent stakeholder management skills
8. You’re passionate about travel and, in particular, UK holidays
Ideally, you’ll have had some experience of working within leisure/travel, but this isn’t essential.
Equally as important as all the technical “stuff”, we’re looking for someone who is hungry to learn, irrespective of their seniority. We don’t believe in standing still (we work in travel, after all), but instead think that everyone should be learning, all the time. Whether it’s a new analytical tool, an industry event or a mentoring opportunity, we will support you to grow your skillset.
If you’re excited by working in a fast-paced environment, are obsessed by all things customer and want to join us on our journey, we’d love to chat.
What we’ll give you
This is an opportunity for you to join us at a pivotal point in time as we invest in our future. You’ll be supported by a team of genuine, passionate people. We work cross-functionally, so you’ll be given opportunities to develop skills outside of your core skillset. You’ll be an integral part of a team which delivers great commercial results, and who doesn’t want that?
We offer a competitive salary and benefits; we’re all about holidays, so we practice what we preach and offer some great travel discounts.
What else do you need to know?
This role will see you regularly out on the road, so you should be comfortable working remotely. However, you’ll also have close and regular contact with our offices in the UK, so travel will be required occasionally.
We want to make the application process as stress-free as possible, so typically we’ll have an informal chat with you on the phone, followed by a comprehensive interview over Teams, where you’ll have a chance to find out a bit more about the exciting things we’re doing (and maybe tell us what we’re doing wrong). We want to hear about what makes you tick and why.
We believe in equal opportunities and aim to create a team that is representative of our society knowing that embracing differences enhances the capabilities of our business and makes for a happy place to work. We are proud to recognise and celebrate that we have a diverse culture where employees are accepted for who they are, regardless of age, gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation, religion or ability.
