Health and Safety Coordinator Location : Rochdale HQ Salary : £26,000 to £28,000 Wireless CCTV’s SHEQ team are looking for a Health and Safety Coordinator to join and assist with our continuing commitment to our Safety, Health, Environment and Quality mission. The primary aim of this role is to support the Compliance manager in ensuring all aspects of health, safety and facilities are compliance with legislation and adopting best practice standards. You will play a vital role in overseeing safe working processes within high-risk areas, grounds, building and equipment maintenance. You will ensure health and safety standards are met while arranging for repairing, liaising with contractors, sourcing suppliers and working collaboratively with department leads. The role as a Health & Safety Coordinator: Setting safety standards based on legal requirements, including playing a proactive role in conducting and reviewing general risk assessments. Identify health and safety areas of improvement and incorporate in-house training such as toolbox tasks. Conduct Health & Safety new starter inductions and internal audits. Be the main point of contact for all facilities queries. Provide proactive building maintenance for all UK offices and liaise with contractors to schedule routine maintenance visits. Maintain the database for all company furniture and liaise with purchasing when new furniture or Health & Safety related items are required. Ensure the financial tracker is maintained for all UK facilities by working closely with the Compliance Assistant. Responsible for coordinating maintenance for all UK offices. Co-ordination of supplier contracts and their renewal dates by maintaining a spreadsheet. Ensure Equipment service reports, health & safety policies and any necessary documentation is available for external audits. Travel as required to each UK site using company pool car. Working closely with compliance assistant, deal with maintenance emergencies for all UK offices (plumbing, joinery, roof, roller shutters etc). Schedule preventative maintenance tasks for all UK offices (boiler, ventilation, forklift trucks etc). You will be a first aider and fire warden, working alongside the compliance assistant to ensure all sites are compliant. About you: Educated to college/NVQ level. Knowledge of ISO accreditations and workplace Health & Safety procedures. IOSH or equivalent Qualifications. NEBOSH General Certificate is desirable. Full UK Drivers Licence. Strong communications skills – written and verbal. Attention to detail Evidence of a strong work ethic Ability to work under pressure.
