We are ambitious - and keen to hear from determined and motivated people like you, who are interested in developing their engineering experience in the world of utilities.
The Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Site Engineer to take a leading role in a dynamic and growing team on our Southern Water contract. As part of a growing team, you’ll assist with creating a streamlined and efficient design process for the benefit of project delivery.

With experience of successfully overseeing and advising on utility and civil based projects, you’ll take a technical lead on site and provide setting out for the project team including collating as-laid information. Awarded projects are varied and will involve traditional civils and innovative trenchless solutions, gravity and pump pipelines as well as assistance with pump station and MEICA installations.
These are just some of the aspects you’ll be involved in:
* Carry out site surveys and inspections.
* Provide line and levels / set out for construction activities.
* Produce documentation for site tasks.
* Complete inspection and test plans.
* Carry out as-laid surveys.
* Liaise with stakeholders.
We’d love to hear from you if you can demonstrate…
Experience of working in a utilities environment, preferably water, with knowledge of deep excavation and trenchless pipe installation methods along with experience of working in collaborative multi-disciplinary teams. Along with experience in the concepts required in the safe design and/or operation of on-site activities.
An understanding of and application of digital technology together with commercial awareness is important, as are excellent communication, planning and organisational skills. Knowledge of CDM and ability to make engineering decisions and judgements on design.
