An exciting opportunity as a Lead Pharmacist has arisen for an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual to join the established clinical pharmacy team on a 6-month fixed term contract supporting clinical trials patients across Mid and South Essex.
You, primarily based at the Broomfield Hospital site, will be an integral member of the multi-disciplinary team, working to provide excellent care to clinical trial and oncology & haematology patients throughout the Trust. Some cross-site working will be required.

Main Duties of the Job
* To work under the direction of the Principal Pharmacist for Clinical Trials to ensure pharmacy is in a position to support the Research & Development Strategy.
* To work with the clinical trials and oncology teams to enable streamlined set-up of clinical trials across all specialities.
* To clinically screen oncology and haematology prescriptions.
* To clinically screen and check clinical trial prescriptions.
* To ensure Medicines Management Standards are met within the Clinical Trials and Oncology and Haematology Services.
* To work in accordance with the principles of Good Clinical Practice.
* To be actively involved in the clinical governance aspects of the pharmaceutical service.
Person Specification
Qualifications
* Registered pharmacist
* Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy (or equivalent experience)
* Post graduate qualification in oncology pharmacy
Experience
* Previous hospital experience
* Experience working in clinical trials
* Experience working within oncology and haematology

Salary: £53,755 to £60,504 a year (Per Annum, Pro Rata for Part Time)
