We are looking for someone like you to be our next Transport Supervisor Supporting the organisation and execution of all deliveries and inter-depot movements from the SCS STARK Hull site, the Transport Supervisor will ensure all customer requirements are fulfilled whilst ensuring compliance with company and statutory obligations. As part of this busy transport operation, youll ensure the timely and safe dispatch of drivers on a Mon to Fri 13:30 - 22:00 shift pattern. What youll do on a typical day: To ensure full compliance with XPO policy / procedures.To follow all HR requirements in relation to disciplinary, absence management, Code of Business Ethics and return to work situations.Foster, maintain and improve relationships with colleagues throughout XPO and with other depots.Utilise XPO systems to ensure all elements of depot and contract administration are completed in line with site and company requirementsProvide reports and submit data as required, relating to, Finance, KPIs, Claims and Health and SafetyEnsure resource levels are in line with customer & operational requirements.Liaise with external hauliers and agencies.Support and understand the planning function requirements for Hull based on day 1 for day 3.Support data input and planning of all customer deliveries, ensuring all documentation is complete.Foster relationship with the Customer, ensuring effective communication and resolution of any queries.Making your shift your own dealing with any operational queries.Interactively working with & supporting other SCS sites at Purfleet and Newport inc. other Timber Group operations as and when available to do so.Ensure all drivers report for duty, any defects or issues are recorded and resolved in a timely manner.Driver brief and de-briefing as well as data entry of statistics as required. What you need to succeed at XPO: Its important you have exposure of working in a fast-paced environment no two days will be the same and we need you to think on your feet Previous experience supervising and developing a team within a complex transport environment Proven experience within transport and a good understanding of compliance and driver hours Computer literate as will be answering email, dispatching drivers, and compiling handovers. Team building experience. Experience in a fast-paced, time critical environment. Some transport experience dealing with CE drivers would be beneficial.
