Job Description:
Do you have experience using digital systems to manage stock? Are you self-motivated? Do you have an understanding of materials and tools? Are you an excellent communicator?
We are looking for a Storage and Reuse Manager to manage the storage, recycling, re-use and cataloguing of materials, scenery, scenic hardware and technical equipment at scenic workshop stores, theatres and other premises.
Reporting to the Workshop Manager, key areas of responsibility include:
* Support the Workshop Manager and other Production Heads of Departments in planning the storage, re-use and recycling of items for all RSC shows.
* Safely store and log items across all sites using the stock management system, taking ownership of its development.
* Manage the day-to-day running of the scenic stores and maintain good housekeeping and a safe working environment.
* Catalogue items on the stock management system, checking items in and out to productions to ensure accurate records of item availability and location.
* Disassemble returned items into component parts and return them to stock.
To be suitable for this role, it is essential that you have the following knowledge and experience:
* Experience using digital systems to manage a stock inventory.
* Understanding of materials and tools to identify valuable materials and disassemble them.
* Knowledge of Health & Safety policy relevant to handling scenery and materials.
* Highly organised and methodical.
* Flexible and adaptable approach to work.
This is a full-time, permanent position based in Stratford-upon-Avon.
You will be working 44 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend and evening work required.
