We are excited to offer an opportunity for a Regional Director to join our Corporate team, overseeing the Central South West region.
This is a full time role for 37.5 hours a week.
Duties Of This Role Include
1. Drive the commercial performance of the hospital units against established targets:
* Generate profitable revenue opportunities
* Manage the launch of new facilities, services and business units
* Instil a culture of continuous improvement to deliver efficiencies and savings
1. Establish a culture that ensures consistent compliance with internal corporate policy and external regulatory standards across the hospitals, through monitoring and driving improvements on clinical indicators
2. Instil a culture of customer service in the Regional team. Monitor effectiveness / success via reviews of patient satisfaction indicators, clinical incidents and complaints, and manage action-planning to deliver improvements
3. Support and drive the Regional team to build and maintain positive working relationships with new and existing consultants, and identify / develop new opportunities for commercial growth
4. Support and drive the Executive Directors to maximise operational efficiency in consultant surgical and outpatient schedules, and ways of working e.g. standardisation of consumables
5. Ensure strong levels of employee engagement, providing visible leadership and direction to all the Regional team
6. Develop and maintain a communication plan to ensure that the Regional team is aware of business and operational imperatives and initiatives.
Applicants Should Meet The Following Criteria
1. Significant field operations experience in a senior manager capacity
2. A high degree of financial awareness and control
3. A proven track record in successfully formulating CAPEX proposals for complex projects with significant financial worth and delivering anticipated benefits
4. Significant experience of managerial responsibility at a senior level
5. Experience of effectively applying change management skills in an environment influenced both by internal and external changes
6. Knowledge of standards required (e.g. HQS, NCS etc.) and possesses proven track record of driving improvements in quality standards
7. Knowledge of Human Resource policies, tools and techniques, including interviewing, conducting performance reviews, performance coaching and formal HR processes e.g. disciplinary
8. Highly energetic, proactive and driven to succeed
9. Strong organisational and planning skills, including risk management
10. Able to cope with a high degree of ambiguity, identify a clear direction and engage / energise individuals.
