As Finance Business Partner, you will work closely with the Client Account teams to support and advise on strategic and operational decision making through insights that aim to drive better financial performance. You will be a trusted partner, being able to challenge and provide support and recommendations in decision making processes.
Key Accountabilities:
1. Operate in a finance business partnering capacity to support the client account teams providing insights that drive informed decision making.
2. Support the Finance Director – Marketing services in delivering the objectives of the client accounting finance function.
3. Production of period and year end results for relevant Client Account teams including producing management analysis, highlighting variances, trends and impacts on the annual business plan and quarterly forecasts.
4. Business partner with Client Account Directors to prepare and analyse the monthly job tracker to gross margin level. Identifying, investigating and providing commentary against significant variances to forecast/budget.
5. Post month end de-brief with Account Directors, focusing on P&L performance, and variance analysis. Staff costs, and identified risks and opportunities.
6. Regularly review and actively support the Client Account teams to manage working capital (Sales reserves, aged debt, and WIP).
7. Support the Client Account teams in the timely preparation of forecasts and budgets, reviewing and challenging assumptions.
8. Provide detailed analysis as required to guide and assist client team’s decision making.
9. Work collaboratively with Client Account teams, ensuring they are aware of the financial implications of operational decisions.
10. Partake in regular meetings with the Client Account Directors, acting as the prime point of contact for the finance department.
11. Undertake financial analysis and reporting as requested.
12. Drive continual improvement to current processes and procedures.
13. Other ad-hoc tasks and reporting as required in line with the remit of the role.
Knowledge & Skills
1. Fully or part qualified AAT, and/or working towards a formally recognised accounting qualification (ACA/ ACCA/ CIMA).
2. Natural ability to partner and build strong, trusted relationships.
3. Strong organisational skills, with the ability to work autonomously and to plan and prioritise accordingly.
4. Previous experience in a similar role and organisation.
5. Demonstrable communication skills complete with high standards of accuracy and presentation.
6. Knowledge of SAGE Intacct, or similar, finance platform preferable but not essential.
7. Strong MS Excel skills.
