Responsibilities
Learning and Organisational Development Officer (Maternity Cover)
Band 4: £26530 - £29114
Hours per week: 32.5
Duration: Fixed term contract/secondment opportunity to 30 September 2025
Base: Dewsbury Health Centre (but flexible working can be accommodated)
An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, customer-focused individual to join our Organisational Development team on a fixed term contract/secondment, providing maternity cover up to 30 September 2025. This role offers significant variety, opportunity and challenge across a range of learning and organisational development activities, including:
1. Delivering our corporate induction programme;
2. Supporting the infrastructure for Mandatory and Essential Skills Training by implementing best practice approaches using the Electronic Staff Record (ESR/OLM).
3. Ensuring accurate and timely training administration, guidance and support to colleagues, managers and stakeholders.
4. Overseeing Locala’s Learning and Development Panel to ensure applications are processed in line with policy.
This role requires a person who has excellent organisational and analytical skills combined with the ability to network, influence and carry out activities to help people develop and, therefore, bring about change across Locala. Well-developed IT skills and technical knowledge of the Electronic Staff Record including the Learning Management Module (OLM) are essential in this role.
