About the role The Dev POD Lead will provide technical leadership and expertise to a mid-size development team of 4-5 engineers(called POD), ensuring high-quality software design, development, and deployment. This role requires a highly skilled individual with a strong background in Node.js, React.js, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, oAuth(2.0),Docker, and DevOps practices. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in technical leadership, code reviews, and working with cloud platforms like Azure or AWS. Roles and Responsibilities: Technical Leadership: Lead the design and development of software solutions using dev tools like Node.js, React.js, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB. Guide the team on best practices for containerization and deployment using Docker, Docker compose and related tools. Review code to ensure adherence to quality, performance, and security standards. Architecture and Design: Design scalable and secure system architectures, leveraging containerization and microservices. Implement authentication and authorization mechanisms, including OAuth (2.0). DevOps and CI/CD Pipelines: Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions. Oversee deployment processes and ensure system reliability using DevOps best practices. Monitor and troubleshoot deployment issues across environments in Azure and AWS. Team Management: Mentor developers, fostering technical growth and collaboration within the team. Allocate resources effectively and ensure timely delivery of milestones. Person: Experience Minimum 8 years experience in software development, with expertise in Node.js, React.js, PostgreSQL and MongoDB. At least 2 years of technical leadership experience, including mentoring and conducting code reviews. Technical Skills Proficiency in containerization using Docker and orchestration tools. Experience with Azure/AWS cloud platforms. Strong knowledge of OAuth (2.0) for authentication and authorisation. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions. Solid understanding of DevOps practices, including infrastructure automation and monitoring. Soft Skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with technical and nontechnical stakeholders. Problem-solving mindset and ability to make informed decisions under pressure. Ability to manage and prioritise multiple tasks effectively. Preferred Skills Knowledge of microservices architecture and related tools. Experience with Kubernetes or similar orchestration tools is a plus Familiarity with performance monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
