Job Title: Mental Health Practitioner – Band 6 – CAMHS
Location: Lincolnshire
Rate: Up to £28 per hour
An exciting job role has recently become available in North London. They are looking for a new member for their CAMHS experience team. The role’s purpose is to ensure the mental health of children within the service is looked after and the correct actions are taken forward. You will be liaising with all professionals to ensure the correct department is aware of any concerns raised.
What will your responsibilities be?
You will prioritize your day-to-day workload to ensure that Looked After Children (LAC) cases are appropriately prioritized. You will offer support, clinical advice, and guidance to the team regarding the treatment of LAC. This includes undertaking assessments of LAC children and their wider support network to ensure their mental health and wellbeing needs are met. You will provide brief interventions, advice, and guidance to children and their support network as appropriate. Ensuring all children are assessed in a timely manner in line with local and national LAC targets is crucial. You will also ensure that care and assessments are adequately planned and documented on the electronic medical notes system, including care plans and risk assessments. Additionally, you will offer signposting, support, and guidance to other staff members and services as appropriate regarding the treatment and management of Looked After Children. It is essential to have detailed knowledge of both national and local protocols and procedures regarding the treatment and management of LAC and to ensure these are adhered to across the wider CAMHS network.

Qualifications and Experiences:
To be eligible for this role, you must hold a Social Work England registration and be eligible to work in the UK. Additionally, you need to possess a full UK driving licence and have a Social Work qualification, such as a degree or an equivalent certification. A minimum of two years’ experience as a social worker within children’s services is also required.
