As the Site Engineering Manager for a leading food packaging/manufacturing business, you will be responsible for leading the maintenance team delivering engineering strategies across their north London manufacturing site.
This challenging role requires a time served engineer to HND or a Degree qualified engineering manager with previous experience in a fast-paced environment in a senior role. There are several CapEX projects planned; so you'll have previous experience of managing budgets and simultaneous projects.
Our client is an established manufacturer, who supply authentic global foods to the hospitality and retail sectors. The site is AA BRC rated with DSEAR regulations; therefore, you will have experience of working within a highly regulated/audited site.
Your responsibilities as Site Engineering Manager will include:
1. To develop and implement a planned preventative maintenance strategy for the site.
2. Coaching, developing, and leading all direct reports and for the successful application of lean manufacturing within the site maintenance team both structurally and culturally.
3. Advising manufacturing and senior general manager on engineering maintenance budgets including periodic reviews.
4. Improving site services and infrastructure standards whilst maintaining budget control.
5. Ensuring company HS standards and statutory regulations e.g. legal mandatory, food safety etc. are complied with, within own area of control. Advisory to manufacturing for other areas.
6. Leading by example to ensure a behavioural safety culture is developed and maintained.
Your Profile:
1. Degree qualified engineer with strong leadership experience gained in FMCG / Packaging manufacturing.
2. Experienced in setting KPIs and ensuring OEE targets are met.
3. Experienced in CAPEX project management and managing budgets.
4. Ability to implement a robust strategy working alongside OEMs.
