Lunchtime Assistant
£4,097.20 per annum (£13.17 p/h), Haywards Heath (outskirts), Monday to Friday, 11:50 am - 1:40 pm (9.15 hours per week), Term Time only (34 weeks), permanent. Access to a range of benefits including holiday pay, pension and use of the facilities and grounds.
The Role
We are looking for a Lunchtime Assistant to support young children during their lunchtime routine in a warm and friendly early years setting. This role involves creating a calm and enjoyable mealtime experience, encouraging children to eat well, and engaging them in fun and interactive play afterwards. You will be part of a supportive team dedicated to ensuring children feel happy, safe, and cared for throughout their lunchtime.
Key responsibilities include:
* Supporting children aged 2 - 7 years during lunchtime, ensuring a happy and relaxed mealtime.
* Encouraging children to eat a variety of foods and develop good table manners.
* Providing a caring and supportive presence to help children feel comfortable and secure.
* Engaging with children in play-based activities after lunch, both indoors and outdoors.
* Ensuring a safe and positive environment that supports the children's development and well-being.
