About the Role
As a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, you'll primarily be responsible for carrying out planned preventative maintenance during production shut down over the weekend.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct all engineering and maintenance repairs on-site
* Efficiently handle machinery breakdowns and ensure equipment safety
* Maintain firefighting systems and ensure staff are fully trained on safety standards
* Coordinate maintenance priorities and manage inventory of critical spares
* Oversee building upkeep and manage schedules for maintenance teams
About You
This position is ideal for a candidate with experience in mechanical maintenance. Experience in a fast-paced environment is desirable but not essential.
Key Skills
* Mechanical Engineering Apprenticeship OR time-served relevant experience
* Desirable: Experience in hydraulics, pneumatics, or refrigeration (certification is a plus)
* Strong troubleshooting skills and comfort working autonomously
Working Hours
* Alternating weeks of Days and Nights: 7am-7pm / 7pm-7am
* Ongoing training and development opportunities
