Job Title: Operations Assistant
Location: Ellistown
Type: Full Time – Monday to Friday
Salary: £30,000 plus bonus
Responsibilities
Joining a small team under the Operations Manager's supervision, your main responsibilities will be as follows:
* Physically check tankers and other similar vehicles and perform an on or off-hire inspection with customers. This would involve operating the tanker, climbing ladders to inspect the top of the vehicle, and checking the internal condition of tank barrels.
* Go into the yard and other sites to conduct physical inventories/yard checks listing all assets & 3rd party vehicles in the yard, cross-referencing with TIP systems, before forwarding for authorization to the branch manager.
* Provide customers with a level of service and care as prescribed by TIP, handling all telephone enquiries in a professional, business-like manner, utilizing every opportunity to develop TIP’s business levels.
* Process purchase orders (POs), scrutinizing costs with vendors and identifying any recharges, coding correctly, and filing proforma to ensure customer servicing requirements are met.
* Ensure compliance with license regulations relating to the avoidance of prohibition for serviceable tankers.
* Order parts for technicians and MSUs (Mobile Service Units), confirming required delivery dates. As parts are used from stock, raise POs to replenish stock levels. At each month end, collate POs that are sent to Whale to ensure reconciliation of stock/value balance.
* Proven experience of excellent customer service.
* Excellent communication skills (both written and oral).
* Ability to develop business opportunities.
* IT savvy.
* Excellent organization and administrative skills.
* Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
