Overview Customer Quality Manager | Up to £50,000 base salary | Annual Bonus | Chichester We are seeking a proactive and experienced Customer Quality Manager to manage and strengthen our technical relationships with key customers. You will ensure all technical requirements are met on time and to the highest standards, keeping customer satisfaction at the forefront while maintaining trust and integrity. Act as the primary technical point of contact for retail and QSR customers regarding product quality, safety, and specifications. Attend customer technical meetings, product launches, and quality audits to represent the company’s technical interests. Provide timely and accurate technical support to customers in response to enquiries, complaints, and product-related issues. Develops and implements continuous improvement initiatives across products, practices, standards, and equipment, in collaboration with other departments, to enhance food safety, quality, and compliance with customer requirements. Regularly reviews KPIs to identify opportunities for improvements Compiles and manages quality improvement plans while collaborating with customers on joint initiatives to drive business growth and deepen relationships Ensures effective cross-functional communication of customer KPIs and other relevant information to ensure all departments are aligned with customer needs and expectations Works closely with site Technical Managers to keep customer KPIs, scorecards, and specifications up-to-date Ensures customer requirements are consistently met and all KPIs are achieved to maintain high satisfaction levels Person Specification Self-starter, resilient, and proactive in account management Strong under pressure, able to prioritize a demanding workload and manage conflicting demands Open-minded approach to continuous improvement, promoting a culture of excellence across all technical and operational functions Effective influencer across all levels, including cross-functional teams Passionate about learning, debate, and achieving high standards with a commitment to brand values Strong communication, influencing, and negotiation skills, with leadership and project management experience Takes responsibility for decision-making, including key decisions in isolation Tenacious and resourceful with a focus on delivering the right results Experience Proven experience in managing technical customer relationships in a food business Factory Technical experience in high care, short shelf-life products Desirable skills & qualifications Knowledge of microbiology, fresh produce, and ready-to-eat (RTE) products is beneficial Expertise in food safety and quality systems such as HACCP, QMS, and audit standards (BRC, TFMS, MFMS) Degree in Food Science/Technology (Desirable, not essential) Interested?
