What you’ll do:
* Lead and manage bids and tender submissions for the Transport business, reporting to the Business Development Director.
* Manage a Bid Team based in Warwick and London, planning resources to pursue opportunities.
* Ensure effective and efficient resource utilization to maximize business opportunities.
* Manage the end-to-end process of producing high-quality, successful bids according to telent’s procedures.
* Improve bid quality through best practice approaches.
* Monitor bid costs and seek continual improvement in bid return on investment.
* Develop relationships with existing and potential customers, including site meetings and presentations.
* Oversee Bid team performance, KPIs, and SLAs.
* Lead bid strategies, manage bid material from Go/No Go to submission, and support post-submission activities.
* Plan workload, forecast bids, track costs, and report on win/loss outcomes.
* Conduct bid reviews and update the Bid wiki.
Who you are:
Key requirements:
* Extensive experience leading high-performing Bid Teams, improving bid success rates.
* Experience with winning bids in the Public Sector, including Traffic, Rail, and Emergency Services markets.
* Strong project management, organizational, and financial skills.
* Broad understanding of relevant products, technologies, and services.
* APMP or equivalent qualification with demonstrated bid success.
* Proven ability to write compelling tender responses.
* Strong Microsoft Office skills and experience with bid quality and financial responses.
* Leadership skills with experience building successful bid teams.
* Ability to develop and deliver simple solutions to complex challenges.
* Excellent communication, persuasion, and influence skills.
* Experience in developing commercial propositions based on customer needs.
* Ownership, accountability, and a proactive attitude.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team, maintaining strong relationships.
* High emotional intelligence and pride in quality outputs.
