Role Overview:
Working within our motivated Public Health team, you will drive forward continuous improvements through the development of strong partnership relationships, contacting processes and contract monitoring so that we can reduce the factors that contribute to lower levels of life expectancy and health inequalities. In addition to this you will take the lead on public health budget including monitoring and reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop strong working relationships with procurement, legal and finance teams ensuring a high functioning partnership.
* Manage the public health commissioning pipeline for a range of portfolio areas and oversee the performance and contract monitoring function.
* To implement and maintain the health Improvement Committee plan of work and associated working groups.
Key Requirements:
To succeed in this role, you will need as a minimum:
* The ability to work autonomously by reviewing evidence base and best practice to shape and redesign service delivery in public health.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required to effectively advise and support senior officers, with confidence to challenge where appropriate based on evidence.
* Excellent organisational skills will be needed to agree, develop and manage the provision of multiple commissions from tender, commissioning processes and contract monitoring.
