GSL Education are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming school in Scunthorpe. This role offers the opportunity to provide essential support to students, particularly those with Special Educational Needs (SEN), helping them thrive in their academic journey. In this Level 2 Teaching Assistant role, you will collaborate closely with teaching staff to deliver tailored support to students, ensuring that they are fully engaged and able to reach their potential. Your involvement will be instrumental in fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment where every student can succeed. Responsibilities of a Level 2 Teaching Assistant (TA): Support students with SEN on a one-to-one basis or in small groups. Assist in the preparation and delivery of lessons, tailored to individual learning needs. Encourage and motivate students to engage fully in the learning process. Help students develop essential social and emotional skills to aid their personal growth. Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers on individual development. Create an inclusive and positive classroom environment that supports student participation. Maintain accurate records of student progress and help teachers in setting achievable targets. Assist in promoting positive behaviour management strategies. Provide support with personal care or mobility assistance if required. Communicate effectively with teachers, parents, and SEN staff to support students’ development. Level 2 Teaching Assistant (TA) Requirements: Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent). Prior experience supporting students with SEN as a Level 2 Teaching Assistant in an educational environment. Any degree in Education, Psychology or in a relevant field. A patient, compassionate, and proactive approach to supporting children. Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with students and staff. A solid understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures. Ability to adapt to different learning needs and contribute to a supportive, dynamic team.
