Job summary Starting May 2025 Site: Lincoln / Boston 1 x 37.5 hour posts We have an exciting opportunity for a Cancer Team Leader to join our driven and industrious team in the Cancer Centre. This post will work with the Cancer Centre Management and Coordinator teams to provide close and sustained monitoring and oversight of tumour site performance against the national standards. The post holders will hold and develop an expert level of understanding of CWT guidance and tumour site knowledge in their areas of responsibility, ensuring that the pathway support provided to the individual CBU's is consistent and reliable. They will provide direct line management to a dynamic team of staff, providing training, support and monitoring performance. This role will contribute towards an environment and culture that supports and encourages personal and professional development whilst supporting the improvement in performance against national, regional and local standards. Main duties of the job The successful candidate will possess a sound working knowledge of cancer pathways and cancer waiting times within an acute Trust setting, demonstrate IT skills, and exhibit personal drive and the ability to encourage others. You must also be a confident communicator with the ability to liaise accurately with a wide range of different professional groups (both clinical and non-clinical) and demonstrate awareness and a knowledge of organisational systems and practice. Among your skills will be the ability to work in a fast moving, challenging environment, being prepared and able to make decisions using own judgement and initiative and have experience of implementing change to improve service delivery.
