Job Description
Overall purpose of the job:
1. Drive outbound engagement and help develop opportunities within the Blue Light and Public Safety sector.
2. Proactive sales-focused role working closely with our Business Development and Account teams to develop pipeline, engage with customers, and convert leads into opportunities.
3. Selling colocation and data centre services, IT infrastructure and managed services, and WAN/network services.
Key responsibilities for this job:
4. Outbound sales engagement – reaching out to prospective user organisations and existing customers in the blue light and public safety sector.
5. Support senior sales staff by identifying new opportunities, setting up meetings, and tracking pipeline.
6. Develop and manage sales leads, ensuring follow-ups are completed and opportunities are nurtured.
7. Prosecute smaller sales opportunities, working towards achieving personal and team sales targets.
8. Coordinate with marketing to execute targeted outreach campaigns.
9. Work closely with internal teams to ensure smooth handover of opportunities.
Knowledge and experience required:
10. Successful track record in business development, internal sales or telesales.
11. Confident in outbound calling and customer engagement.
12. Comfortable working in a target-driven sales environment.
13. Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships with technical and procurement teams in the blue light and public safety space.
14. Organised and proactive, able to follow up on leads and manage multiple opportunities.
Desirable knowledge and experience:
15. Experience selling IT, network services, or managed services.
16. Experience working within the Blue Light, Public Safety, and Mission-Critical Systems market.
