1:1 Teaching Assistant (Primary School)
Location: Sheffield
Pay Scale: £95- £105 per day
Start: September 2024
Contract: Part-Time/Full-Time
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 3:30pm
GSL education’s South Yorkshire branch is looking for a dedicated individual to join as a 1:1 Teaching Assistant in primary schools in Sheffield. This is a great opportunity to provide personalized support to a student, helping them to achieve their full potential.
Job summary:
As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you will work 1:1 with students who need help to achieve their educational needs. You will be integral in assisting the in-class academic, social, and emotional development of the student within a positive and inclusive setting.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide one-on-one support to a designated student, helping them with their academic work and social interactions.
* Assist in the planning and delivery of tailored learning activities and interventions.
* Monitor and document the student’s progress, providing regular feedback to teachers and parents.
* Collaborate with the class teacher and other staff to ensure the student’s needs are met effectively.
* Assist with classroom management and organization.
Requirements:
* Previous experience working with children, particularly in a one-on-one support role is desirable.
* Relevant qualifications in education or childcare are preferred.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
* Strong communication and organizational skills.
* An updated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
* A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
