Comprehensive training + continual professional development
• Based in our Cheshunt office, you will be working Monday-Friday 9am-5pm. No weekends!
• Make a real difference to the growth of our business
About the Role
Are you ready to supercharge your sales career? As an Account Manager at the Cheshunt Agency, you’ll be based from our Cheshunt office at the forefront of driving new business growth. You’ll have the rare opportunity to make a significant impact from day one. This role isn’t just about maintaining existing relationships—it’s about actively seeking out and capitalising on new business opportunities that will fuel the continued expansion of our Commercial Insurance portfolio.
You’ll lead personal sales and prospecting initiatives that result in the successful sale of NFU Mutual General Insurance products, Risk Management services, and life lead generation. With a focus on new business development, you’ll be instrumental in identifying untapped markets and turning prospects into loyal customers.
At NFU Mutual, we’re all about building strong relationships and offering solutions that truly meet our customers' needs. With over 90% of our customers renewing their insurance with us each year, you’ll have the opportunity to leverage these strong relationships while aggressively pursuing new business to grow our customer base and your sales pipeline.
Your success is our priority, which is why we offer comprehensive training at our on-site facilities in Cheshunt. Whether you’re learning in the classroom or on the job, you’ll be fully supported as you develop the skills needed to drive new business and exceed your sales targets.
This role is subject to the requirements of the Insurance Distribution Directive. Role holders will be required to evidence ongoing relevant continuous professional development, along with re-screening to evidence that Good Repute standards are maintained. Further information can be found in the FCA Handbook.

3. Auto enrolment in to pension scheme.
4. Full training and insurance licensing provided with progression opportunities available.
Closing date for all applications: 4th October 2024.
Please note you will be employed by L A Stiles, Agent of NFU Mutual, and not NFU Mutual directly.
Whatever your role, as a key member of your agency team, you’ll enjoy the chance to develop your insurance industry knowledge and skills and build a rewarding career. For most roles, you won’t necessarily need an insurance background. It’s more about your personal qualities – your ability to learn quickly, develop strong working relationships with a range of different people and give customers excellent service, with trusted advice and products.
Bring these qualities and you’ll be supported with a full range of training and development opportunities so you can build the career you want. These include the chance to gain an apprenticeship, as well as support to study for professional qualifications and full training in all aspects of the insurance industry.
