We have a particularly exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Electro-Mechanical Engineer to join a small team of engineers at a medical device company. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the development of high quality diagnostic solutions.
Responsibilities
* Design and develop electro-mechanical components for medical diagnostic devices, ensuring reliability and performance.
* Understand component design and demonstrate the ability to redesign hardware for improved functionality.
* Validate and verify designs before manufacture to ensure compliance with industry standards.
* Work closely with external contract design organisations to drive project success.
* Conduct rigorous testing and validation of sensors, actuators, and other key components.
* Produce high-quality technical documentation, including schematics, test protocols, and operational manuals.
* Take a holistic approach to product development, considering all aspects of functionality, usability, and manufacturability.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive cohesive product development.
* Stay updated with industry standards and emerging technologies in electro-mechanical engineering.
About you
* Proven experience with sensors, actuators, and critical electro-mechanical components.
* Strong expertise in project documentation, including technical reports and schematics.
* Proficiency in CAD software and engineering simulation tools.
* Ability to redesign hardware and refine component functionality.
* Experience in working with external contract design organisations.
* A holistic approach to engineering, ensuring all aspects of the product are considered.
