* Salary: £32k – £37k DOE (hourly rate calculates between £15.38 and £17.79)
* Working Hours: 9am – 5pm
Our client is an independent UK company dedicated to providing the very best cleaning chemicals, consumables, PPE and sanitising products available with a support and delivery service second to none within the industry. Although the automotive industry is still by far their largest market, they have expanded their range of specialist chemicals into many other sectors.
This role is to provide support to Operations and Customers across the group of companies and to steer the ship at the depot and be an on-site point of contact.
The position will be based at their depot in Ruislip with requirements to travel to other sites as needed. As the role is based in Ruislip, it will suit someone based in and around NW/ W or SW London areas.
Responsibilities and Duties
* Maintenance and repairs of jet washes, hoovers and other equipment as required.
* Ensure timely repairs and maintenance of equipment.
* Basic maintenance and repairs of motorcycles on site (training will be provided).
* Regular PAT Testing of site equipment
* Ensure that all company and client policies and procedures are followed.
* Check and ensure correct use of equipment and materials to carry out the job.
* Installation of touchscreen computers on site
* Assist operations team with setups of new sites.
* Preparing and dispatching orders (equipment & Chemical product)
Qualifications and Skills Essential:
* Must have the proven right to work and drive in the United Kingdom.
* To have an understanding of mechanical plant operation and electrical systems, gained through appropriate work experience.
* Have good verbal and written interpersonal skills, to be able to effectively communicate with both customers and company personnel.
* Be able to work on own initiative.
* Can perform to a high standard of work.
* Demonstrate a good understanding of meeting customer needs and being a main point of contact for the Company.
* Experience of using different customer portals for the logging in/out of jobs, preferably with a PDA device.
* Lives in North-West or West London
* Proven work experience within the vehicle preparation and valeting sector.
* Competence in fault diagnosis and repair.
* Experience of using Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word.
