The post presents excellent opportunities to optimise all of your expertise and to develop further into specialist roles including outpatient clinic support, prescribing roles and ward rounds.
Our rotations are 6 or 12 months in duration and provide opportunities to experience various clinical specialties, as well as chances to work in operational roles such as clinical governance, medicines management, antimicrobial stewardship, aseptics and education and training.
You will be self-motivated and organised with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will be able to work effectively alone and as part of a team.
Main duties of the job
You will work closely with the wider clinical pharmacy team to maximise medicines optimisation by:
1. Reviewing individual patient's medicines
2. Developing a role as a key member of the multidisciplinary team
3. Supporting the training and education of junior pharmacists, pre-registration pharmacists, technicians and other healthcare staff
4. Participation in formulary management and financial monitoring of drug expenditure in conjunction with directorate pharmacists
5. Developing, implementing and monitoring prescribing guidelines
Full training and an extensive CPD programme is provided, along with opportunities to attend annual conferences such as UKCPA.

Essential
* Vocational Masters Degree in Pharmacy or equivalent
* One year pre-registration training and experience, meeting the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) examination requirements
* Member of the GPhC
* Diploma or MSc in Clinical Pharmacy or equivalent experiential learning
Desirable
* Member of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society
* Qualified as a non-medical prescriber, or ability to work towards
