Join Our Interior Design team at Hallmark Luxury Care Homes!
Position: Interior Designer
Type: 18-month FTC (Fixed Term Contract)
Purpose of the role: Leading projects within the design team and supporting the existing team on the current refurbishment schemes being created. Liaising directly with suppliers, team members, consultants, and contractors to coordinate requirements. Scheduling meetings with Hallmark’s team members and creating design documents for implementation.
Your Responsibilities:
* Participating in client meetings to discuss design plans and gather feedback on preliminary designs (from pre-planning to construction)
* Reviewing and signing off construction documents to ensure that specifications meet design requirements
* Participating in coordination meetings with site team, consultants, architect(s), and contractors to ensure that construction meets design specifications
* Overseeing and creating conceptual sketches and other illustrations to communicate design concepts to Hallmark
* Compiling data regarding Hallmark’s preferences and any improvements in the Care Home portfolio that meet Hallmark's brand and style.
* Presenting design concepts to Hallmark to gain approval of preliminary plans
* Consulting with Hallmark and the Care Home about their needs in order to create a design solution that meets their goals within budget constraints
* Ensuring all specifications are compliant (FR, waterproof, etc.).
* Work with the Architect, Technical Manager, and site team to ensure capture of design requirements in general leading up to a new project and during
* Working to project budget for all aspects related to Interior Design (bespoke joinery, ceiling aesthetics, lighting, kitchens, decorations, etc. and managing FFE budget.
* Site experience with the confidence to manage site meetings including external contractors with the ability to make quick decisions if required
* Travelling to sites around the UK, including new builds & existing homes which are covered by the whole interior design team to provide support
Skills and Knowledge:
* Degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or equivalent
* Experience of Interior Design in a Commercial environment.
* Vectorworks or AutoCAD proficiency
* Microsoft Office proficiency
* Interpersonal skills
* Strong presentation and communication skills up to Executive level
* Understanding of BS standards and industry requirements for performance and Health and Safety
* Healthcare, Residential, Luxury retail, or Luxury hotel design experience
* Knowledge in Dementia care and design
* Knowledge of commercial fabrics
* Adobe Suite (InDesign and Photoshop)
