You will be joining a reputable and award-winning legal firm based in the heart of Edinburgh City Centre. They are going through a period of growth and are looking to bring in a new Junior Legal PA to offer wider administrative support to the firm.
Your new role
This is an exciting opportunity to kickstart your career as a Legal PA. You'll be primarily responsible for providing high-quality and efficient secretarial support to the firm's fee-earning team. Some of the key tasks include:
Supporting the Legal PAs with the billing process and other key financial tasks
Building an understanding of matter management and risk management
Diary management
Organisation of meetings and travel
Liaise with internal teams to build rapport and good working relationships to best support fee earners
Offer general administrative support to several fee earners
Complete comprehensive training, ensuring deadlines are met
What you'll need to succeed
The Junior Legal PA role offers fantastic training and development opportunities to support the development of your Legal PA career. You'll be required to take a proactive approach to problems and tasks, staying one step ahead to make the jobs of the fee earners easier. Other experience and characteristics include:
Experience working in secretarial support/administration in a comparable environment
Previous experience or exposure to billing would be highly advantageous
Prior experience supporting with financial takes (expenses, invoices, POs etc.)
General administration skills within a professional, commercial setting
An ambitious, hardworking individual who is committed to learning new skills
