The successful candidate will be expected to:
1. Design and deliver innovative teaching across undergraduate and postgraduate modules in Electronic Engineering.
2. Lead individual and collaborative research projects, including developing proposals and securing funding for impactful research.
3. Supervise and mentor postgraduate and PhD students, supporting their academic and professional growth.
4. Contribute to publishing high-quality research in peer-reviewed journals.
5. Present findings at national and international conferences.
6. Engage with internal and external stakeholders to build collaborations that advance the department's research and teaching objectives.
Minimum qualifications include:
* A PhD degree in Electronic Engineering or a closely related field.
* Proven experience in teaching and curriculum development within the higher education sector.
* A growing national or international reputation in their field, demonstrated by a strong publication record.
* Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
Candidates are expected to commit to fostering an inclusive and innovative learning environment.
Salary will be within the range of 628,750 RMB to 772,893 RMB per annum depending on skills and experience (salary progression beyond this scale is subject to performance). An attractive package including employment support allowance, schooling, and insurance will be provided for international appointments.
The post will initially be offered on a fixed-term contract with the University of Nottingham, Ningbo, China for a period of five years starting May 2025 or as soon as thereafter. This contract may be extended on an indefinite basis by mutual agreement.
