Job summary
An opportunity has arisen in the Planned Care Nursing Administration Team, the successful candidate will be based in Hastings at the Arthur Blackman Clinic.
Responsibilities include data entry, general administration work, updating the appointments system, and providing excellent customer care.
The post holder will receive incoming telephone calls from patients, carers, GPs, staff, other healthcare professionals, and external organisations, taking appropriate action which may involve discussing matters with other team members.
We are seeking candidates who possess a strong willingness to learn, relish challenges, and exhibit the ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team. Commitment to improving patient services and excellent communication skills are essential.
You will work alongside clinical colleagues to ensure that Planned Care Nursing flows smoothly, helping maintain an efficient and effective administration service.
You will be employed within a broader scope that encompasses District Nursing, Bladder & Bowel, Frailty Services.
Please note that our service operates seven days a week (including Bank Holidays), and weekend work on a rotating basis is part of the role, currently 1 in 7 weekends.
There will also be cross-site work, so being a car user is necessary.
The core service hours are from 08:00 to 18:00.

Main duties of the job
We're in search of someone who can thrive in a busy office setting. The role involves a variety of tasks:
Inputting patient referrals into our electronic patient record system (SystmOne)
Retrieving data as requested
Maintaining and updating SystmOne as necessary
Answering patient line phone calls
Making outgoing calls to update patients on their District Nurse visits
Organising patient information packets
Managing the staff sickness phone for the service
Onboarding for new starters (getting systems in place, uniform and equipment)
Healthroster input (including generating reports)
Processing requisitions using NHS Supply Chain and Integra as directed
