You will be responsible for supporting the delivery of an effective enterprise-wide risk management framework across the Skipton Group. You will help to ensure that the risk management framework is robust in identifying, measuring and mitigating risks. You will provide subject matter expertise, support and challenge in the management of enterprise risk across the Society and Group. Experience of implementing risk frameworks is essential and providing oversight of technology, resilience and change risk is desirable. This role provides an opportunity to showcase your skills and experience within a dynamic risk team and line 2 Group Risk function, that works collaboratively across the Society and Group. Your key responsibilities: Lead the delivery of a number of priority initiatives on the Group Operational and Enterprise Risk Management plan, including matrix management of team members. Lead the development and maintenance of Group Enterprise and Operational Risk Appetite, Framework, Policy, processes and practices that meet relevant legislation and regulatory requirements and represent best practice. Lead oversight and challenge activity to demonstrate effective implementation of the Group Enterprise and Operational Risk Appetite, Framework and Policy. Drive and deliver risk insight reporting based on analysis of internal and external risk data and insights to identify risk themes, trends and opportunities to further improve the control environment in line with risk appetite. Lead the delivery of risk and control reviews against emerging themes. Perform follow up reviews of significant risk events to help prevent reoccurrences. Collaborate with Principal Risk owners across line 1 and 2 to ensure adequate oversight of Operational and Enterprise risks in line with policy and framework. Responsible for accurate and timely reporting up to Board level. Promote a risk aware culture across the Group. What Do We Need From You? Skills Qualification in risk management. Ability to engage, influence and work in partnership with senior stakeholders. Report writing skills are essential. Knowledge In-depth knowledge of Operational and Enterprise Risk Frameworks within a Financial Services organisation. Experience Experience of implementing Enterprise and Operational Risk Frameworks is essential. Experience of leading and implementing strategic initiatives. Experience of report writing appropriate for committees and up to Board level. Experience in technology, resilience and change risk is desirable.
