Referment are working closely with a top multi-strategy hedge fund who are looking to onboard a C# Engineer on the Reference Data team WHO will design, build, test, deploy, and maintain critical reference data systems within the firm. The role focuses on C#, .NET, .NET Core, distributed systems, SOA, and large data schemas, requiring a strong understanding of software lifecycle and microservices design. The engineer will collaborate with business and technical teams, participate in code reviews, troubleshoot issues, and stay current with emerging technologies. The role demands both independent and team-based work, excellent communication skills, and a keen interest in learning the business side.
Key Responsibilities:

Key Qualifications:
* Expertise in C#, .NET, .NET Core, and multi-threaded programming.
* Experience with microservices, cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, Snowflake), and service-oriented architecture (REST, WebApi, JSON).
* Familiarity with Agile, SQL, GraphQL, messaging/streaming technologies (Kafka, MQ), and DevOps practices.
* Strong testing background, communication skills, and ability to handle high data volumes.
Preferred Skills:
* Experience with enterprise caching, behavior-driven development, web development (React/Angular), Python, and financial markets (Equities, Fixed Income, Commodities).
* Familiarity with Bloomberg and trading workflows is a plus.
