Job Description
Are you a passionate and skilled Pastry Chef seeking a new opportunity to showcase your talents in a Michelin-starred restaurant? Join the pastry team at Wild Honey St James, within the luxurious ambiance of Sofitel London St James.
As the new Pastry Chef de Partie, you will be the visionary behind our pastry offerings, collaborating closely with our Head Chef to bring ground-breaking creations to life. With your expertise, you will infuse every dessert with meticulous attention to detail, setting the bar high for taste, texture, and presentation.
Key Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with the culinary team to conceptualise and develop innovative pastry creations.
* In charge of dailypreparation and production of pastries, desserts, and baked goods.
* Uphold rigorous standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety to guarantee the utmost quality and freshness.
* Contribute to menu planning and special event preparations.
* Drive efficiency in kitchen operations and uphold our uncompromising commitment to quality, ensuring every aspect of our pastry production meets the highest standards.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Demi Pastry Chef or similar role within a high-end culinary environment.
* Creative flair and a strong understanding of flavour combinations and presentation.
* Proficiency in a variety of pastry techniques, including decorating, and plating.
* Excellent organisational skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure kitchen.
* Strong leadership and communication skills.
* Culinary degree or relevant certifications is highly desirable.
