A great role has arisen for a Finance Manager on a 12 month FTC basis to join a blue-chip company based in Newcastle. Responsibilities: Manage cash forecasting, reporting, bank reconciliations, and cash book postings in line with group guidelines. Lead the period-end timetable, ensuring timely completion of tasks, including reconciling key general ledger balances monthly. Coordinate the preparation and submission of quarterly returns, including VAT and Waste Management. Oversee the intercompany process and resolve related queries. Manage ledger and Balance Sheet reconciliation. Own the AR and AP processes for the Polymers sub-division. Collaborate with commercial and financial teams to address and resolve financial issues. Review and improve processes and systems for greater efficiency. Manage the Fixed Asset Register, ensuring compliance with IFRS16 within the sub-division. Lead and mentor three direct reports, fostering their development and ensuring clear task delegation within the finance team. Requirements: Part-qualified accountant (ACCA or CIMA) Experience supporting and influencing operational colleagues across multiple locations Excel and Power BI skills are advantageous Strong analytical skills to interpret financial data, identify trends, and make recommendations for strategic decision-making Management accounting experience gained in the service, logistics or waste industries an advantage By applying you will be registered as a candidate with Marc Daniels Specialist Recruitment Limited.
