About the Role As a Teaching Assistant (TA), you’ll work closely with teachers and other staff to provide tailored support for students with special educational needs (SEN). Whether working on a daily supply basis or in a long-term contract, you’ll play a vital role in helping students overcome barriers to learning, build confidence, and achieve their full potential. Responsibilities of the Teaching Assistant: Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with SEN. Assist in the delivery of personalised learning plans. Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment for all students. Support classroom management and ensure a safe, engaging setting for learning. Collaborate with teachers and SENCOs to adapt teaching strategies. Help students develop essential social and emotional skills. Requirements for the Teaching Assistant Role: A recent graduate with a keen interest in education. Experience or a strong interest in working with SEN students. Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills. Patience, empathy, and adaptability to meet diverse student needs. A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
