Description internal Housing Officer -Lateral Mover Please note this vacancy is only available for Birmingham City Council employees that are under a S188 (Priority Movers and Lateral Movers) Permanent Grade 4 - £32,076 - £39,186 Consultation grade - subject to formal evaluation under the Pay Equity Review Working 36.5 hours per week Housing Officer Central Estate Services You will be responsible for the modernisation of the service, and the training of staff on the new modernisation processes. The role will require the preparation of regular performance reports to senior management by providing data analysis support and direct analysis of information. To achieve this, you will have a good understanding of data analysis techniques and the various presentation packages available within the Microsoft Suite of Applications. You will be able to use Microsoft products to a high standard. You will be responsible for training staff in new ways of working involving IT, producing training materials, information, and handouts. You will also be the first point of contact where staff are having difficulties. You will support the development of new and existing policies procedures based on new legislation or working practises as they arrive. You will also need to visit sites to ensure policies and procedures are being followed, offering support and direction where required.
