A Technical Support Technician is required for a World Leading Engineering Company based in the UK.
Job: Technical Support Technician
Location: Bath
Salary: £36k + Excellent Company Benefits and Prospects.
As the successful Technical Support Technician, you will have the following knowledge and experience:

7. In a position to obtain UK security clearance. Further restrictions may apply to certain projects.

9. Able to use best practice techniques, and be structured and methodical in working practices.
10. A practical 'hands-on' approach, comfortable working with high value, precision components.
11. Able to produce quality output and accurate documentation to agreed standards, in agreed timescales.
12. Have an understanding of the protection of business interests when working with customers and suppliers.
13. Experience in working on some or all of: development engineering programs; product or systems containing high pressure hydraulics and/or gases; large intricate assemblies.
14. Able to test hydro-pneumatic components and systems.
15. Able to use standard measuring equipment such as micrometers, verniers, etc.
16. Able to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
17. Able and willing to undertake additional training and train or mentor others when the need is identified.
18. Able to support activities with APQP team as necessary, including defect and quality concerns such as 8D investigation methodologies.
19. Health and safety aware - adhere to safety policy at all times.
20. Have a positive attitude to continuous professional development.
The post holder will desirably have, or will be able to develop, some of the following attributes:
1. Possess a clean valid UK driving licence.
2. Time served assembly fitter or equivalent with experience in a high value, low volume mechanical manufacturing, assembly and test environment.
3. Computer literate, including use of some or all of Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Powerpoint; Syteline; Model Manager; Solidworks.
4. Electrical, Electronic and software capabilities and competence such as some or all of: qualified soldering, wiring, able to develop or modify test protocols and equipment.
5. Ability to perform paint operations to appropriate quality requirements.
6. Proven ability to operate 5S principles within the workplace.
7. Lean six sigma training to a recognised level.
8. Experience working in advanced technology industries such as defence, aerospace or automotive design or with high pressure fluids, is highly desirable.
