Job Details:
Salary: £59,175 - £95,400 per annum (Pro-Rata)
Contract: Fixed-Term Contact: 12 months
Hours: Full-time: 10 Programmed Activities (DCC:SPA = 8:2)
On call: None
Location: Mellmead House, 4 Orchard Close, Rodney Road, Wanstead, Redbridge, E11 2DH
Qualifications needed:
1. Full GMC Registration with a license to practice
2. Section 12 certification, or a commitment to work towards this.
3. Mastery in the management of a broad range of mental disorders in adults
4. At least 4 years of full-time postgraduate training (or its equivalent gained on a part-time basis) of which at least 2 years will be in a specialty training programme in a relevant specialty or as a fixed term specialty trainee or shall have equivalent experience and competencies

We are currently recruiting to a Community Adult Psychiatry Specialty Doctor position in the Redbridge Mental Wellness Team North (MHWT-N), based at Mellmead House, 4 Orchard Close, Rodney Road, Wanstead, Redbridge, E11 2DH.
This is a fixed-term contract post for 12 months. This post will be vacant soon, and we wish to recruit to it as soon as possible.
You will join 2.6wte Adult Consultant Psychiatrist and 1.4wte Core/GPvTS Trainees within the service, and will have the opportunity to influence future direction, treatment, and models of design in the area in which you work.

Job responsibilities:
You will be expected to:
1. Work as part of multidisciplinary teams providing care to adult people with mental health needs, across Northern Redbridge.
2. Provide senior medical support to the team, and direct input on clinical cases.
3. Provide guidance and supervision to the team.
4. Work directly with adult people and their families and liaise as appropriate with other external adult mental health providers, and acute hospitals.
5. Work alongside the 2.6wte Adult Consultant Psychiatrists and 1.4wte Core/GPvTS trainees within the service, and share clinical supervision requirements with them.
6. Develop links already established with the local acute trusts A& E departments and inpatient wards.
7. Be responsible for patients allocated to them and will assess, manage, plan, and deliver care.
8. Support your peers and the team manager and be an effective team member whilst working on their own initiative.
9. Supervise junior colleagues and liaise with other health and social professionals and agencies.
